perpetua:

I used to be the music producer for a public radio show called Fair Game, and part of that job involved bringing in musical guests for sessions. Robyn came in for the last session before the show was canceled, and her segment never aired. You can download the session here – it features stripped-down versions of “With Every Heartbeat” and “Be Mine!” with her voice accompanied only by Kleerup on WNYC’s grand piano. You can hear the version of “With Every Heartbeat” above.

What. This is great.

Robyn/Whitney - Dancing in Houston

That straight vocal track from How I Will I Know everyone passed around this weekend got put into this awesome Robyn track cause the internet knows what Mikey like.

I just listened to this and I swear my heart grew 4 sizes that day and then overflowed.

So this is basically the greatest thing you’ll hear all week.

Bless this post.

"I think it makes much more sense that this isn’t about a real relationship at all. It’s about Robyn having a crush on a guy, and realizing how crap his current relationship is. If they were to get involved, this is the conversation she would have with him. Because she’s not a home wrecker, but the guy would be better off with her. And he should clearly break up with his girlfriend to get things started."

Is Robyn’s Call Your Girlfriend About An Imaginary Affair?

This is more or less my read on it.
